Meet Your Travel Advisor
I'm Arlene, the founder and travel advisor behind Trekstar.
Long before I started planning trips for others, I was fascinated by the feeling of going somewhere new.
Growing up, I loved airports. Even as a kid, I was fascinated by the energy of a busy hub; people arriving, departing, and heading off to places all over the world.
Now, I'm one of those travelers arriving and departing, and I want you to be as well.

Travel has always felt like an invitation to see more.
My first trip to Europe, a graduate-school summer course in Amsterdam, reinforced these for me.
From transportation and urban planning to technology, community, and everyday life,
I saw how differently a place could work.
I gained new perspective, I connected with new friends, and I gained the confidence to start solo traveling.
Why Travel Matters
Perspective: See the world beyond your own context.
Connection: Experience people and cultures firsthand.
Confidence: Learn to trust yourself outside your comfort zone.
That's what I love about planning travel.
I'm naturally curious about new places, so researching destinations and figuring out how pieces fit together never really feels like work.
I love taking a big idea and turning it into a trip that feels possible.
But the best part is getting to know you — what excites you, how you like to travel, and what matters most to you.
Then I get to do what I do best: connect the dots to make the journey feel easier.
Turning curiosity into your next adventure
You shouldn't have to spend your vacation planning your vacation.
This is where I step in:
I listen.
I research.
I organize.
I advocate.
You focus on the experiences, the people, and the memories you're about to make.
Because travel should feel exciting, not overwhelming.
Feel taken care of.
My goal for every Trekstar traveler:

Ready to see what's out there?
You bring the dream. I'll help make the journey happen.
